Legalisation & Apostille

The right stamp
gets you a long way

A document for use abroad must be certified in the country of origin so that it is recognised by the legal system in the foreign country. We can help you get it done. Regardless the country or document type.

What is a legalisation?

A legalisation is an official confirmation that the signature, seal or stamp appearing on the document is genuine. The legalisation process can be different depending on the type of document and destination country.

Documents are usually divided into three categories:

  • Trade documents such as Certificate of Origin and Invoices

  • Legal documents such as Power of Attorney and Contracts

  • Private documents such as Marriage Certificates and Diplomas

What is an Apostille?

The Apostille is a certification of a document that will be used in a country assigned to the Hague convention of Apostille. The Apostille stamp is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen and further verification of the document is usually not necessary for it to be valid in the country of destination. See a full list of countries here.
