Visa-Free Entry for Danish citizens


From November 8, 2024, to December 31, 2025, Danish citizens with ordinary passports can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days for

  • Business

  • Tourism

  • Family visits

  • Transit


When a Visa is Required

Danish citizens need to apply for a visa if

  • The stay is for more than 30 days for business, tourism, family visits, or transit

  • They need a visa for specific purposes including

    • Work Visa (Z): Employment in China

    • Permanent Residence (D): Long-term residence in China

    • High Talent Visa (R): For highly skilled professionals

    • Family Visas

      • (Q1): For stays over 180 days to visit family members who are Chinese citizens or permanent residents

      • (Q2): For stays up to 180 days for the same purpose

      • (S1): For stays over 180 days to visit family of foreign residents or for personal matters

      • (S2): For stays up to 180 days for the same purpose

Visa-Free Countries
Citizens of the following countries can also travel visa-free to China under specific conditions
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland
